Well, little Gigi bean had her first vet appointment this evening… she wow’d the vet with her cuteness. The vet hadn’t seen a black pug in ages; she typically sees fawns. Needless to say Gigi was fussed over quite a bit, as every pug should be. ;)
Buuuuuuut, she burst our bubble & said “Get rid of the weewee pads & expen & treat her like a big dog!”
Oy.
Okay, back to basics like we did with Ollie, only he was older. Not sure if this will be tougher or easier that way. So far she only “went” outside once, purely by accident.
She’s settled in her crate now. I’ll try taking her out in a couple of hours. I put her last (hopefully) soiled weewee pad outside for her to see. Hopefully it will ring some bells for her.
Housetraining 2 small breed pups now; am I nuts or what? As if I wasn’t sure of that before!!

Gigi has been having short sleeps IN her crate today with the door CLOSED. Another milestone for our Gigi.
It has become pressing to get her crate trained because, our little Gigi bean can climb. She scales her crate & actually got out of her expen this morning. Little bugger.
